Powder Metallurgy or PM general tolerance

In general, PM process can reach tighter in tolerances compare with other metal forming processes. The limits on tolerance depend on orientation of the dimension to the pressing direction, size, component complexity type of material, process variations and secondary operations.

Following table offers typical tolerances for ferrous PM component measuring up to 100 mm in diameter and 25 mm thick.
